Jana Herauf
DirectorAs the Director of Neverland Children's Centre, I am very passionate about my philosophies and approaches to childcare. Childcare of the highest quality can only result when parents and caregivers communicate openly and work together. This Parent-Teacher method of team playing is what allows us to support the development of each individual child which is our goal here at Neverland.
I have been working at Neverland since 2012 mostly working part time and as a one to one worker up until I took over as Owner in 2022. Over the years, I have also worked with high-risk youth, and my husband and I owned multiple restaurants and we still actively cater.
I truly think I have found my place at Neverland. I enjoy moving from room to room, getting to experience the diverse, unique and often comical personalities of the children. I love being here, observing the learning, a lot of times thru silliness and laughter, seeing friendships blossom, watching the children grow from the daycare room to Kindergarten and so on, knowing that their time here is valuable.
When I'm not here I like to spend time with my family, my husband, our three adult children (two of which work here, Madison and Jayden) and our two little dogs. I love to travel, cook, read and enjoy life!
It's an honour to be here, my door is always open to all the families.
Hazel Haywood-Dawson
ECE TeacherMy name is Anna Hazel Haywood-Dawson. I was born in the Philippines and moved here to Canada in 2012 as a live in caregiver. I am an Early Childhood Educator. I live in Ladner with my family. Being a mom of two beautiful children, a son and a daughter, I see education as a very important part of life. Having a natural care and love for children, I strive to create a warm and friendly environment where children can grow and express their imagination as well as explore the world around them. I am a dependable and responsible child care enthusiast with an inherent interest in providing care services to children of different ages. I am very grateful to have found a position here at Neverland Children's Centre. I love it here and I could have not felt more at home anywhere else. .
Parminder Kaur
ECE TeacherMy name is Parminder Kaur. I am married and a mother of a 6 year old daughter. I have successfully completed my Early Childhood Education Certificate (Honors) from Vancouver Career College. I also have my Masters Degree in Mathematics and Masters Degree in Education. I was assistant professor in Mathematics in my home Country. I came to Canada in 2020. I wanted to work in the teaching field because teaching is my passion. In the meantime, I took care of my daughter and enjoyed the time spent with my daughter and husband in Canada. From this experience, I decided to go into the childcare field. I have completed my Responsible Adult course and Early Childhood Educator Assistant Course. I worked as a Kumon instructor and ECEA in childcare. I am very happy to be working at Neverland Children's Centre.
Jennifer Pelipada
ECEA TeacherHi. My name is Jennifer Pelipada. I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved here in Canada in 2013. I am married and I have a 5 year old daughter. I finished my Responsible Adult course and ECEA last year. I am currently taking my ECE Program at Sprott Shaw College. I love working with children. It is challenging but being able to work with them is so fun. Knowing that my job is to help kids achieve their full potential and to help them feel happier and better about themselves, brings a huge smile to my face. I'm so thankful that I get an opportunity to work here at Neverland Children's Centre. It is my first job in this field and I am looking forward to learn more.

Kiana Mills
School Aged TeacherI am thrilled to be part of the Neverland Team. I am the Music teacher/Room A teacher, and enjoy showing the Children the love for Music and Movement!
I have been working at Neverland since 2017 and have my Responsible Adult Certification. I also graduated with distinction from Vancouver Acting School for On-Camera Acting and Audition and Voice Over.
I am very passionate about working with children and enjoy helping encourage learning and growth in a positive and nurturing environment. I enjoy getting to know each child's unique personality.
I have three young children and absolutely love being a mom!
I have 4 horses and a mini pot belly pig named Turbo. And a little dog named Butterbean! Fun Fact! I was Top 10 in Miss World Canada 2012 and I also sang and opened for Carrie Underwood at the Merritt Mountain Music Festival.
In my free time, I work on film sets with my husband, sing, travel, horseback ride, and spend time with my family.
Madison Herauf
School Aged TeacherHi All! My name is Maddy Herauf and I have had the pleasure of working at Neverland since 2019! I am one of Jana's daughters. Coming from a large extended family I am always up for a good joke or competitive game! You can find me doing crafts, driving kids, and trying my very hardest to beat the boys in sports!
Outside of work, I'm hanging with friends and family, enjoying the sun and snuggling my sweet puppies! My time here so far has been more than amazing and I look forward to coming to work and seeing all the smiling faces 🙂
Jayden Herauf
School Aged TeacherHi everyone, My name is Jayden. I'm teacher Jana's youngest daughter. It's always a silly time working alongside all the kiddos! You'll catch me at Neverland a few days a week when I'm not at my other job at Beach Grove Golf course. I'm always keen to chat and get to know you all throughout your time here.
Michele Girling
School Aged TeacherHello Families! My name is Michele Girling. I was born and raised in Ladner. My husband is John, my daughter is Kaia and we have a puppy named Riley. My family and I love to travel, spend lots of time outdoors going on adventure, paddle boarding, camping and hiking.
I have been working with children of all ages since I was a teen, as a nanny, in daycare centres and before and after school care programs.
I find working with children to be very rewarding. I keeps me on my toes, no single day is the same. Everyday is fun and exciting. I love seeing the world through the eyes of a child, it encourages me to use my imagination and allows me to be creative.
Jayna Wilson
School Aged TeacherMy name is Jayna and I am beyond excited to be working here at Neverland! Some of you might not know this, but I'm actually Jana's niece! I went to Langara College to play post secondary basketball while studying to become an Elementary School Teacher. On my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and being active and spending time outdoors. It's been great getting to know all the children here at Neverland.
Sarah Allan
School Aged TeacherHi! My name is Sarah. I am 23 years old and have lived in Ladner my whole life. I am currently a Psychology student at KPU. I'm in my last year and graduating in April of 2024. After graduation, I am applying to UBC for the teaching program to become an elementary school teacher. I helped out at Neverland in September of last year but just recently started full time in March. I previously worked at a daycare in Richmond but wanted to work closer to home. The kids here make me laugh every day and are great to be around. I have two dogs named Carlos and Rosa and they're from California. On my days off, I enjoy being in the sunshine (when we have it) and spending time with family and friends.
Camryn Bruyns
School Aged TeacherHi! My name is Camryn. I began working at Neverland around the beginning of this year and I've been enjoying every minute of it. You can usually find me in the out of school care rooms hanging with all of the super fun kids! Currently, I'm studying for a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts at KPU in hopes of becoming an Elementary School Teacher. When I'm not here or at school, I'll be hanging at home with my family or doing something fun with friends.

Shae Dubois
School Aged TeacherHi my name is Shae. I've been working here at Neverland Children's Centre since 2019! You will see me working mainly in out of school care classrooms. I love working with all the kids here as they are always making me laugh, keeping me on my toes! Since working here, I've completed my Early Childhood Education Assistant course. Neverland has given me all the necessary skills to work in schools with kids who require extra support, and I am truly grateful for that. On my off time, I enjoy being active with friends and family, going out and taking part in fun activities, playing ball, hanging with my pup, and soaking up the sunshine when we get it!
Kimiko Ohori
School Aged TeacherMy name is Kimiko Ohori and I am very excited to be part of the team here at Neverland. I graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Sprott Shaw College and am now a licensed Early Childhood Educator. Working with children has always been an interesting and fun career choice. For the last 3.5 years I have been working full time within this field and loving every moment of it. I have a strong passion for sports, during my free time, I love to hang out with family and friends, and to travel when I have the opportunity to do so.
Brenda Nobert
School Aged TeacherMy name is Brenda. I am a school aged teacher here at Neverland Children's Centre. I am currently on Maternity Leave.
